     Good day, everyone.

Well, it's been a heck of a couple of years due to Covid-19. It's been a veritable whirlwind of events and changes. One of these changes includes the overhaul and re-branding of Dragon Pier. Initially we thought we wanted to aim towards being a platform to promote teachers and compete in an already saturated market. While this wasn't necessarily a bad choice - there are loads of better ways to provide schools with good teachers and simultaneously provide the teachers with quality contracts - it wasn't the path that we wanted to take. We want to make real change.

The idea of Dragon Pier wasn't so much to be a single entity, but rather an umbrella company that focused on connecting people. This is done the best, we feel, through the medium of gaming and literature. While we will still aim to have educational elements in our games and publications - games are an excellent platform for teaching - we are going to focus on building a company that produces these things as a way to impact real change in education.

What this means, for us here at Dragon Pier, is that we have had to swallow the cost of our relative inactivity due to Covid-19 for the last couple years. Thankfully, I have completed my MA in Creative Writing, and am setting my sights on my PhD in the same. Dragon Pier will be part of my process of development, and all of us here want to bring forward something new to the world of gaming and to education.

We apologize that this is a little bit vague, we're still working out some of the kinks... Okay, a lot of them. Building a forum is first on our list, as is re-working the landing site to help more things along. One such example is the world of T'elmün which is already complete. It is a TRPG (Tabletop Role Playing Game) that is also designed for expansion into a PC playable game world. It has been complete for several years, and a labour of love that was done solely by one person with the occasional voice of reason and input from friends. It was put on the back burner as other life events took precedence and some life-altering changes stood centre-stage. T'elmün will be further developed under the Dragon Pier umbrella.

In terms of the forum, we will develop it a bit differently than usual forums. There will, of course, be Dragon Pier company forum space. However, Dragon Pier is also a city within the world of T'elmün. More on that elsewhere. The landing site (this one) is going to be company focused.

Initially, we will provide English only services, but as time moves forward, we intend to include localization in Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), and Korean, and then we will pursue additional languages (such as Cantonese, Spanish, Irish, et cetera).

Dragon Pier is a labour of love, and as such will develop and change over time. We believe change is necessary for growth, and as such we do expect to evolve to encompass our primary goal of globally accessible education. We do hope that our supporters also recognize the need for us to generate income as a necessary part of being able to create and enact change - few things are achievable without funding.

For now, if you wish to support us with a donation, you can do so through one of several options as shown on our Support Us page.

Until this site becomes developed into the entity it is intended to become, we thank you for taking the time to come and visit!

Sincere regards,
